Hypertension is the medical term for high blood pressure.

Hypertension is a chronic disease. It can only be controlled with medication.

You can lower your risks of hypertension by being physically active and having a healthy weight, not smoking, limiting your alcohol consumption, getting enough sleep, controlling your stress levels and lowering your salt consumption.

Heart Disease

Heart disease is a collection of diseases and conditions that cause cardiovascular problems.

Coronary artery disease and heart attack Arrhythmia Heart valve disease Heart failure are the four most common types of heart disease.

Most heart diseases cannot be cured but medical treatment and some surgical interventions can help manage the symptoms and reduce the chances of heart attack or heart failure.

Most frequently; Chest pain, especially in the middle of the chest pain in the left arm a feeling of compression in said areas. Less frequently: cold sweating, difficulty with breathing nausea and vomiting. Rarely, stomach aches and heartburn.

Diabetes & Tiroid Disease

Diabetes can be defined as a metabolic disease where high blood sugar levels are observed.

Diabetes has two types; Type 1, which is caused by lessened or lacking insulin hormone secretion and is noticed in earlier age. Type 2, which is caused by insulin resistance and is commonly seen with older age with . You are more under risk of type 2 diabetes if anyone in your family has type 2 diabetes.

The thyroid gland is a gland that secretes important hormones for metabolism, heart functions and growth and development.

Hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, iodine deficiency, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer are most common disease.

Hypothyroidism: fatigue, tiredness, weight gain, attention deficiency. Hyperthyroidism: weight loss, heart palpitations, increase in appetite, anger issues, nervousness, excessive sweating.

Chest Disease

Asthma, bronchitis, allergic lung diseases and pneumonia and other infectious lung disease, lung cancer are the most common diseases.

Coughing, difficulty with breathing, lack of appetite, hoarse throat, phlegm.

Lighter exercise may be recommended but you must ask your doctor.

Gastrointestinal System Disease

Oesophagitis, gastric ulcer, gastritis, gastric reflux, diarrhoea, duodenal ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, gluten allergy, lactose intolerance, gastrointestinal polyps and diverticulosis and diverticulitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, haemorrhoid, gastrointestinal tumours and colorectal cancer are examples of gastrointestinal diseases.

Common symptoms include diarrhoea, constipation, bloating, swelling near the stomach, and regurgitation of food, blood in stool and black stool.

Most gastrointestinal diseases can be prevented and/or treated. For most treatments, the underlying cause of the disease must be detected by diagnostic measures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
